I heard in the news this morning that Hassoun was picked up prematurely; the FBI had been tailing him to get some meat on al Qaeda and his connections to sleeper cells when they picked up a phone call from a reporter from the Miami Herald asking for an interview about his relation to Jose Padilla. Hassoun may well have fled because of that phone call. Press - this is your wake up call.
