URGENT - ACTION REQUESTED
Take advantage of anti-war babies' bandwidth to send a message that's distinctly pro-American!
Go to 'True Majority'(which is neither), fill out name and info and enter the following message to replace the predefined one:

I am a constituent of yours and I write today as a participant against Win Without War's Virtual March. I, for one, think this cause is a sham and am determined to use its bandwidth to spread the message that a voice against war is a voice for oppression in Iraq and for Saddam. I am one of the MAJORITY of Americans supportive of President Bush's position of firmness and determination toward Iraq's disarmament and Saddam Hussein's removal.
Senator, the United Nations clearly needs to get with the program or face irrelevancy. France has already shown its irrelevancy by bashing the 7-nation coalition which had written a letter supporting America.
Delaying war with Iraq much further will kill thousands more Iraqis and endanger our soldiers and our allies in the region. It will allow weapons of mass destruction to be distributed to terrorist groups worldwide. Saddam Hussein is relying on the United States to waver - LET'S NOT MAKE THAT HAPPEN!
Please do everything you can to support the our President and call for action IMMEDIATELY in Iraq.

Make our voices known!

"The French president is without doubt walking on thin ice when he tries to base European foreign policy on the principle of anti-Americanism. His theory does not even have the support of the majority of EU member states." - Hospodarske Noviny, The Czech Republic

"Among the 18 European countries that now have signed on with the Americans' latest crusade... was the Czech Republic. Of course. The Czechs remember. Specifically, they remember being sold out at Munich in 1938 by much the same stalwart Europeans." - Paul Greenberg

RESPONSE TO ALL THIS ANTI-WAR GARBAGE

“I wanted to ask whether, among your hundreds of thousands, the absences bothered you? The Kurds, the Iraqis - of whom there are many thousands in this country - where were they? Why were they not there? When Tony Benn was confronted by a young pro-war Iraqi woman on Channel 4 news on Saturday night, why did he describe the organisations of the Iraqi and Kurdish opposition as ‘CIA stooges’?

“Did some of the slogans bother you? Do you really believe that this parroted ‘war about oil’ stuff is true? If so, what were the interventions in oil-less Kosovo, Bosnia and Afghanistan about? What did you feel about the marchers wearing stickers bearing the Israeli flag and the words ‘the fascist state’? Did you say to yourself, ‘Actually, there's only one fascist state in this equation, and it's the one we're effectively marching to save’?”
- David Aaronovitch

Can you believe our country could come to this? Take heart, however, America... these are not the mainstream opinions.
But what about al Qaeda and Muslim extremists worldwide? Won't dropping bombs on Baghdad spur them into action, and create new little 'Osama's?
I've got two responses to that point. The first is that the view that the Islamic world is ready to explode and revolt against America at any time is simply untrue... the majority of the billion or so Muslims in the world today are peaceful. It's ludicrous to impose a stereotype of being emotionally unstable and fickle on Muslims. Second, if we don't invade Iraq, you can be sure the radical elements out there will find another excuse to attack our country - you can count on that. Only if we don't do anything, they'll continue to have Iraq's resources to aid them in their terrorist activities. That's something we absolutely don't need.
What of the posters comparing Bush to Hitler? People think he's a fascist thug!
And what of Saddam Hussein? What of the Butcher of Baghdad, who's killed over a million of his own people? And Bush is the despot? Get real! Tony blair made the point, that while a half a million people gathered in the streets to demonstrate against Bush and the war and Iraq, that doesn't equal the number that Saddam Hussein has killed or tortured for things most people take for granted in America. And can you really trust the people who draw Hitler's moustache on Bush, when displayed along side those images are T-Shirts glorifying people like Mao, Lenin, and Marx?
Isn't the United States acting unilaterally? Where's the world support?
Out of 19 countries in NATO, only 3 are opposed to war in Iraq (one of them, Germany, is starting to waver in its position). Out of 15 countries in the EU, again, only 3 are opposed. Countries supporting: Australia, Britain, Bulgaria, Canada, Greece, India, New Zealand, Spain, Uzbekistan, Algeria, Armenia, Bahrain, Croatia, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Tajikstan, Tunisia, Qatar, Turkey, Albania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark, Portugal, Jordan.
More later.
